Hugo was born in New York and raised by shamans in the shamanic communities of Central America since he was a toddler.  He has served medicines in Mexico, Central America and South America.   These places include but are not limited to the Senoran Desert, Antigua, Chichicastenango, San Pedro Sula, Olanchito, Tegucigalpa, Copan and Comayagua.  ‍

Hugo is an educator with a record of success in motivating adults and students to live active, spiritual and healthy lifestyles, integrating yoga into their lives.

He is also a certified practitioner in MAT Muscle Activation Techniques, Zero Balance and Vertical Reality. He has VortexHealing experience as well.  

Hugo is a seasoned soccer player for over 30 years. He has the ability to motivate students regardless of their fitness levels. He pioneered the Healthy Lifestyles Program, a healthy lunch program and yoga in one of Chicago’s leading charter schools.
